Huge thank you for your design and plan on this job. An unvented hot water cylinder was installed to supply a busy commercial toilet block area. A very efficient and speedy installation.

Project | C7 Hospital Ward
Westlink installed three low surface temperature radiators at the University Hospital of Wales. The team had to isolate a section of pipework and reinstate new. Isolations meant another wards heating was isolated so the boys were up against the clock. Working with these time constraints was very impressive.

Westlink Mechanical Service was proud to be involved in the latest refurbishment to the cancer ward at the University Hospital of Wales. We worked cohesively alongside the main contractor also liaising with the Trust's designated project manager. Being able to work as part of a team allowed the project to progress, it was essential to get patients safely back on the ward for treatment.
The project consisted of extensive building works, mechanical, electrical, flooring, and decoration. We were to provide all the mechanical support, including supply & fit of all tube and fittings, sanitary goods compliant with healthcare specification HTM64. This included 25 washbasins & taps, 5 wet room/shower areas, 8 toilets/DocM, and a sluice room. All local hot water services would be trace heated to support temperature control, pipework insulated using phenolic foam, pipework pre & post sampling for bacteria, legionella and disinfected. All test certificates were then provided as part of our O&M manual. Even with a couple of site variations, the ward was handed back over to the Trust in just under twelve weeks, a monumental effort from everybody involved.
